Pasta comes in many forms as well does the sauces that you can eat it with. Not everyone wants a red sauce or maybe tomato's are to acidic for them. Below I will list the different types of sauces you can make. Your typical sauce I have already posted so we will go on from there.
PENNE A LA VODKA
1/2 cup of cream
1/2 cup of vodka
2 smashed garlic cloves
1/4 cup of diced onions
olive oil
1 can of tomato puree
(bacon can be added to it for extra flavor)
Start with the splash of oil in a frying pan with the diced onion and the smashed garlic. Sautee and add in the vodka. Stir around until the onion and garlic are brown and then add in the puree tomoatoes. Throw in a pinch of salt and saute on med/low heat. Then add in the cream once the tomatoes start to thicken up. Cook on low for about 1 hour until it has creamed together well. You can add in cooked bacon pieces chopped finely for some extra flavor.
HOMEMADE ALFREDO
1 container of heavy cream
1 stick of butter
1/2-1 cup of Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup of milk
Start by melting the stick of butter in a saucepan, then add in the cream and cook this on low. Slowly add in the cheese and stir at the same time. You can then add in the milk and keep on low and cook for about 30 min until it looks like it is starting to thicken. Then remove from the heat and let it sit for about 10 minutes until you see a layer on top.
PESTO
1 cup of basil
1/2 cup of olive oil
1/4 cup of Parm Cheese
Pine Nuts (are extra)
